Greenough and coranation beach report.
Hello , just returned from our worst trip ever ( fishing wise ) from that area ( cape burney).
Those late season storms have just killed it up there for a bit.
Lucys to the rivermouth, the beach is badly erroded, making travel hard even on the quad, and very fine weed is in every gutter.
I fished maybe 4/5 times morning and night, high tide and low for a big zero.
Never fail spots, when I could just soak a bait were barren anyway, and its just before the new moon , so it
should have gone off.
In desperation , yesterday we headed to coranation ( hey that rhimes) , north of Gero , and found a great weed free gutter
and the whole area looks great. Cant wait to fully explore that area more!
Got 1 eating size tailor and then had to head out.
Some quick pics follow, including one for you Maverick drivers , a dead one in the southgate dunes.
We are on planning a return in maybe 2-3 weeks , and with calm weather and maybe some seabreezes , the weed will clear
and then lookout , as there will be some very fat and hungry winter fed tailor around.
Still its not all about the fishing, I spent some quality time with the kids , 16 and 14 years, so not quite kids
we quadded into pristine dunes, explored new beachs and tracks, swam in 31 degree weather, and hit swarms of
native bees on the road which for some reason had the girls laughing like fools, so a great trip anyway, cheers.

Very decent of you Dan , we are hopeing to head back up your way before xmas.
pm you before hand, go the quads!!
And yes the poor old mav looks like a engine fire, diffs still look ok
so for anyone keen , a nice little resto job will have it back to full health, in no time
and rig you are so on the money! we found for some strange reason a half melted hilux badge
in the sand in front, no bullshit, ( you can just see it at the front of rubble pile) so there must be some story behind it!.

no doubt that mav was snatching a land cruiser out which typically burst into flames and took out the poor old maverick too ;)
