Hi there guys,
I thought I would post a quick introduction after joining the forum.
Having read a majority of the information on the forums, it made logical sense to join like minded individuals in enjoying our hobby.
I am currently seeking a solid second hand ski to purchase and enhance for my next step in my loved sport and hobby.
I am based NOR, so once I am online (so to speak) it would be nice to catch up with a few of you. In fact, I don't really care where you are from..... Lets just fish!
Cheers
Mike

Morning guys,
Thanks for the welcome.
To answer Rigby's question, no. I have not been out as yet.
I am just completing my research on which ski to purchase. I should have my ski in the next two weeks. It will then be a matter of building my rod rig and esky.
As I am sure you can all relate, I am really looking forward to my new hobby.
I have been told, in no uncertain terms that the ski is also to be used for family time........

Ski
Righty-o Gents,
So I have made my purchase. I am currently completing all the paperwork and I should be on the water this weekend.
I had a look at a 2008 FX HO Cruiser Yamaha with 130 hours in immaculate condition, on a trailer with a sounder and a cover.
This ski was great value for money at 10 grand. And to be honest, I almost bought it then and there.............. But, and there is always a but
So any sense of reason, or common sense that I had went out the window.
My new fishing rig is a 2011 Yamaha FX SHO
Please don't lean on me to hard about my choice Ha Ha Ha
Yes, I know about the increased fuel consumption and effect on operational range.
There is a saying, absolute power corrupts!
And that's me
So let's get amongst it

Welcome
Good choice mate,
At the risk of starting a ski war, I like Yammies, (They seem to have a dryer ride and I like the reliability)
I have the same ski, unfortunately I am off to work today, (short 4 week swing) otherwise I would of gone out with you,
cheers

Gents,
Have to wait until tomorrow morning to fetch my ski (Paperwork)
I have just purchased my Flares, Anchor, Anchor Rope, Tow Rope and a few other items.
Looking around for a EPIRB. This is going to be an addictive hobby. So much for being cheaper than cars and bikes!!!
See you guys out on the water, please swing past and say hi. I will be out Mid Week and the weekend.
Launching from HBH

I'll be out most of this
I'll be out most of this week, pick any day-at last the weather is looking good to enjoy some Jetski Fishing.
I'll be having some fishing fun around the Islands in Rockingham/Safety Bay.
At last the swell is dropping,so the inner reefs will get a few lures chucked at them.
