GT Pond Singapore

Hey guys
went to Singapore last week for honeymoon
got a chance to go to the GT pond. Its a saltwater pond located up the top of Singapore. Houses over 200 GTs imported from Indonesia. The owner told me the size range is from 3-14kg with the biggest he has seen at 20kg.
pond is about 40m long and 30m wide. these fish fight hard. I was using 30lb braid but could have done with stronger line.
You have to bring all your own gear and I suggest if you go bring LOTS of lures. I didn't think I would catch much but was surprised, i got a hit on every second cast and multiple hook ups. lots of bust offs and landed 5.
Was $350 aud for 2 hrs, but worth every cent.

Mintox! That's gotta be better value than a charter. Multiple hook-ups, thrash the gear,take a few beers......laughing.My missus was talking about a cruise outta Singa's next year hmmm sneak out for two hours ;)

I thought I was doing all right until I saw what she bought at the shops whilst I was fishing. - she won - to top it off the charter was pretty crap and the operator (in Noosa) was a dick who blatantly lied (had many a unhappy customer that day and I gathered I wasn't the only one who wouldn't be coming back).
Wife still lets me go fishing but now I know to take my wallet>>

yeh i had the place to my self.. the 350 is for the time slot.. he only does it 3 times a week.. if u go with mates you share the 2 hrs.. you couldnt really have more people fishing. these things go everywhere in such a small space. green as

I bet, I was picturing 4 persons with rods - one on each side all hooked up to eachother in the middle (virtually fighting each other - last one not to fall in wins).

As a after thought
By the way you are holding the GT you might have been lucky not to have a cut from the scutes on their tails. I have had the misfortune of a cut when I first came up to Karratha and tail landed a green one. Ouch!!
