hello all , woke up this morning at 3!! to go for a early morning tailor fish , nice s/e wind for baitcasting.
got a small feed , not that many big ones , but in a first for me I snavelled 2 tailor on one gang.
I was using 2 chem sharp hooks with a 4/0 stinger on the end.
yes north of yancep as they all say haha.
I publiclly declare this wont happen to me again in my lifetime.
no its not me holding them , its the mad tassie stevie glover.
he,s only 21 years old ,I think, but he spends all his money on beer , hooch and fishing gear.
he wastes the rest.

Pretty decent Tailor
When they are feeding it's like a frenzie so these sort of hookups are not unusual. I'd be trying stickbaits and Halcos in those conditions.

thanks ealzee , I have caught 2 queenies on 1 popper before , like most , 1 on front hook 1 on rear,but
never caught 2 fish in 1 gang , and over the years I have done alot of tailor fishn.
I would say the large one has attacked the rear of the scalie, and the little one has gone to hit the head thats left
out of the bigger ones mouth , maybe!
north metro is having a good tailor year, but its still easy to miss out, thats the fun in finding some little reef or corner, that fishes
way better than it should, and Not killing the pig , just enjoying it for what it is.

that thing on the tailor, is the very rare tailor button worm, tastes like crap but you can eat it!
nah it was cloop of slime that just washed off, probally some undiscovered marine creature that I squashed.
caught a dhuie the other day , and that had what looked like marine fleas, haha
who said all that cockburn sound cement factory water pumped into the ocean has any effect, a crownie carton to the first one
with a 3 eyed fush ( think simpsons )

Believe it or not i was fishing with my uncle when he caught 3 tailor on a gang of 4 hooks! We were at coronation and the tailor were going crazy, so i decided to put 2 mulies on my gang, and pulled in 2 tailor that cast, one on the top hook and one on the bottom. My uncle, then determined to beat me, put 4 mulies on his gang, one hook through the eye of each. I couldn't believe what i was seeing when he dragged them up the beach with the biggest smile ive ever seen on his face. 3 tailor on one gang of 4 hooks. Unfortunately we didnt have a camera with us, and ive never gone a day fishing without a camera since that. :)
Sex is great, but fishing lasts all day.
