Gut lining

Anyone else cooked up the gut lining of a dhuie? Gave it a crack this evening and it was a good chew. An Italian told me about it , so if no one else eats it , I am not alone!

You mean the swim bladder? BBQ up with some garlic sal until crispy, it's a bit like chewy pork crackle.

The best part
I catch dhuies, take the swim bladder out and use the dhuie's as bait. I don't rate dhuies as good to eat but their bladder aint too bad at all.

dry it before you fry it, just like pork crackle.

Dry it slice it salt it then microwave it for a couple of mins in a placcy bag. fishy crackle not everyone likes it but not bad.
