Most sounders do
Bottom lock. Takes out all wave action . I use crayfish high def on my jrc. Picks up small ledges and fish brilliant.

Bottom lock.
I use the bottom lock function but I was wanting to know if anyone has one or seen one in use.

Bottom Lock
Bottom lock flattens the picture your sounder is getting but it isnt a true bottom picture.
Sat compass will take all the pitch and roll out and give you a real view of the bottom.
Havent seen the Simrad but have on Furuno. Makes a big difference.

Simrad
Tim, thanks for the chat and info.
Unfortunately I have just found out the NSS evo's cant interface with the HS60/70. Only the comercial sounders S2009 etc.
Let us know how your new install goes,
