Hamelin bay Area

Spent the last coupld weeks down tthe south coast around hamelin bay area.

Weather didnt play ball for the first week, then the whales screwed things up aswell.

Did a bit of land based fishing while the swell and winds were up...

Heres a pic of a 46cm KG Whiting...pretty good for land based.

Also managed a 50cm flattie from the same location. Got about a half dozen 40+cm KG's from this little sand hole.

Few mroe pics to come when i get them from the other guys.

No salmon tho... which was a dissappointment.

You mightn't have sen too many salmon, but at least it looks like you were eating well.

Nice KGs Mate. I spent the last couple of days down near hamelin bay chasing some salmon with little success. There was a couple of salmon caught off the rocks of foul bay on friday and a school cornered in cosy corner by some dolphins but other than that they weren't in abundance as far as I could see.

I'm heading down that way in another month and will be landbased again. Any tips on where I could find a tasty 40cm+ KG?
