Handheld Vhf recommendations

G'day guys,
Just chasing any recommendations on handheld Vhf units, needing a new one for the dinghy.
Having a look at the GME 5w Gx625, but let us know.

I got the IC-M25 send over from the US. I clip to to my body when fishing solo but we use it to communicate in the Peel between crew kayaking or scooping and trhe boat and it's crystal clear.

Yeah I actually just had a bit of a look at the specs of this unit and it looks pretty good, plus it can be charged by 12v.
So this will probably be the unit i get.

is it advisable to have ahandheld as a backup ? i have been considering putting one in my grab bag, figured my be good if the one on the boat carks it, or go overboard etc?
