Hard day out
With the forecast looking okish organised ShaneO to go out for a bash. Headed off at the crack of dawn with an easterly blowing moderate so thinking not going to be too bad. Wrong. The winds didnt drop off but picked up which made it a tad rough . I was asked "do you have any kwels on board " . But i will give Shane credit he stuck it out for a couple of hours till the wind dropped off a bit. We made our way into some shallower and calmer waters to give the whiting a bash. Them damn western butter fish in plague numbers made it hard to get the whiting but we ended up getting 20 decent size ones for the table. Lots of small flatties out there as well and them spikes hurt when you get stuck in the knee. Headed in at a leasurly speed of 25knots. Hopefully next time the winds will be more in our favor .finished the day off with beer battered whiting and chips.

crook we ran him in from 10 Ks out
then shot back out and ol mate nailed a
dhu second drop of a reasonable 14kg!
got tomorrow off looks good gonna put
some effort in ..

finding it great, handles
finding it great, handles the weather realy good. as mentioned took a bit over the front but it was nasty for a bit out there but travelled well. gets up on the plane and boogies quick with the 140 on the back. certainly dont regret the refirb

I've found is Sth east on way out horrible. They don't like it. Apart from that , there hard to beat.

your right there , the easterly this morning and had no probs on the way out . not too bad comming in on the s eastly. it doesnt mind the side slop at all
