These are shots taken on our recent Ningaloo trip, red-hot Spangled bite, big fish smashing floaters half way to the bottom. The HST-DFSBL xducer really transforms this sounder.

Colour palette set to Blue
Colour palette set to Blue Fish reveal makes a big difference from white background.I was using it for setting pots when the crays were on,works very well. I'd have to put it back in the boat and turn it on, but from memory the sensitivity was around 74%. Have a look at a previous thread fishwrecked.com/forum/hdi-7-colour-palette-pics-added where I explain it. But the transducer made a big difference --only cost me $75 from a Fishwrecked member with a mangled plug. Bought a new plug and tail for $25, soldered it in, cheap upgrade. This particular transducer is referred to by Lowrance on their website as a deepwater model, with a much narrower beamwidth than all the others on both frequencies (50/200) , which, of course, has pros and cons.
