I can't make it this week unfortunately. Have a look at the beach just to the north of where the dog beach carpark is. There is normally some really nice gutters there.

If you get a chance, it might be worthwhile popping down to have a look during the dayligh houyrs to see where the weed is. There has been a fair bit around of late and the weather of the weekend will probably have stirred it up even more.

Just gave a run down to Burns beach and didnt seem to be much weed down there, its usually a weed catchment paradise so things might look good for tues night.

You do a lot of shore fishing right? got any good spots that have been productive that i could add to my list?

I mainly beach fish north of the river at places like Grant St, Floreat Drain, Scarborough Beach and Sorrento Beach. Otherwise I hit the Groynes at Cottesloe and Floreat and the marinas as Hillarys and Mindarie.

Cheers for the link, yeah i read also before i posted a forum link about the tailor holes being a good spot, might check those out while im down in the area, i fish all the spots that u do since im mainly shore based and live NOR. ive done really well at Cotts groyne and hillarys before, something that stumps me is that everytime i go to mindarie wall i never catch anything, but the water looks so deep there, have u ever had any good catches at mindarie? never heard of any big action there, but it seems to go out alot further then cotts and seems to be well deep. hrmm.

I have had a lot of success inside the marina though. Some nice bream, plenty of whiting, flathead, cobbler, crabs, etc. I have also seen some hoodlum Sambos cruising the jetties there at night.

There are some decent fish inside there Smoothie

I have seen pics of Mangrove Jacks that have been caught in there. I reckon that mulloway would have to get in there as well. I have seen plenty of big stingrays inside the marina and an old guy told me once that if stingrays are around mulloway aren't too far behind them.

Hey guys,

As i said i would post how i went tuesday night fishing. well. no good. Went to scarborough with my mate at about sunset and fished for about 3 hours, caught some herring with the light gear but really wanted my spool flying off on my weighted rod. didnt happen. We even packed up and headed for north mole, stayed there for another few hours and yet again it was herring and nothing taking the big bait.

Was a bit of weed around north mole which sucked, thought that it woulda cleared but guess not. Im going to head out again next week sometime, if anyones up for a late night and are heading out gimme a buz or post on the forums, im usually lurking around.
