Herring session Snapper !

Had a nice day fishing for Herring, and some large skippy in the reefs behind Garden Island.
Funny what turns up some times, 50M from shore on a small piece of fresh herring as bait.

Ended up with 16 herring , not a bad size most of them, and 3 nice size skippy, plus a 4.5kg Pinkie to boot :)
Back at the ramp by 1100am.

surprise fish
great catch, we got a 60 cm dhuie 200 metres from shore but it was during the demersal ban
it was very painful watching him swim away
