high numbers of users

over the last couple of nights i have noticed in excess of 60 members on line at one stage,
it would be interesting to know how many active members are actuall posting or viewing posts on here

Been some great numbers on the site stats tracker over the last 2 weeks, hard to determine how active each/every user is. FW is still growing significantly and there have been lots of new users signing up. If you've just had your account approved, post up and say g'day. I think the new highest users online at one time is 75.

I was thinking the same lately. I have been a member for a little while and usually tend to just surf around the site viewing what people are saying, without saying much myself. That tends to keep me busy enough.
It's been classic lately because you can refresh every few minutes and there has been so much said.
It's great to see the site growing so well. Keep up the good work guys.

If you just close the session and not logout do you still show as on-line? I do this as it saves having to logon each time.

I rarely log out but my name only shows as an online user when I hit up Latest Content etc, ie, with active use.
I guess there must be a set period of time of inactivity and then it takes your name off as an online user.

Yeah, I tested it by using another PC and was not on my laptop and it still showed me a on-line. I think it only asks to re-login wheb the server has been rebooted as it has only done this to me a couple of times. Maybe a session idle limit needs to be configured.

There is an idle time built in. When you are active you move to the top of the list the longer you are idle the further down the list you will drop until the preset time is reached and then you drop off the list.
Sorry can't remember what the actual time limit is.

I echo everyones comments, it a great site, well done team!! I visit daily but I have to be honest, I do alot of reading but sometime too shy to comment or add to the threads..

Hi AllYes I am new to the site even though I have been boat fishing for years.One fella even picked up on the name of the boat that I worked with about 5 years ago and gave me a pm. Good work Damo must catch up.I mostly fish out deep from Mandurah however the right times of the year go as far down as Preston beach. Have done the odd trip out from Busselton in the past.Been a great site so far, seems to be a lot of people willing to help others out.Keep up the good work Garry.Its a bit late to go home early.

I'm a new member and I read more than I comment.
There is one thing I'm curious about the Fishwrecked community. What everyone does for a living? As I've noticed a few posts on various threads where there is trade and professional support outside of Fishwrecked.
Maybe there should be a new thread with what everyone does? And maybe if Adam has the time, lol! He could collate them into a tab on the site for easy access (unless one already exists I don't know about).

Will be upgrading servers again soon as things become more intense on the database. Can't stop a good thing! There will be some more new advertisers coming soon as well as they realise what the site has become.
