There was a mini surge on

Sun, 2011-01-30 20:50

There was a mini surge on saturday when i was retrieving the boat around 4:30pm.

Finger jetty deck was a couple of inches out of the water on approach, 2 inches under when we came alongside.

And it dropped a foot and a half in the few minutes it took to get the trailer backed down.

This was a couple of hours afterthe thunder storm rolled through.

Special

Sun, 2011-01-30 21:32

The high tide is specially for those who have trouble reversing, no so far to travel.

We had a big tide up here in Carnarvon on Saturday, even the poles on the ramp jetty were submerged,   sorry no pics, didn't have camera in car

Mon, 2011-01-31 07:51

drove back from Freo at about 7pm and the tide was still rushing up th river. Banks at Monsmans had already flooded and ducks where in the water on the road. I even took a pic, will up load tomorrow.

old rowing shed at Swan Brewery was also knee deep in water and park area north west of the Causeway was flooding as we drove over the bridge

( thats the fotty oval bewteen the WACA and Causeway Bridge, it flooded right up to the Causeway drive!)

Busselton Foreshore

Sun, 2011-01-30 23:12

Had lunch on the Busso foreshore and the little jetty near the main jetty was almost under water....

And there were 1 metre waves breaking on the shore... Would've brought the surfboard if I had known... never seen waves like that B4 in Geo Bay.

some pics taken at 7pm last

Mon, 2011-01-31 07:50

some pics taken at 7pm last night.

Tide was still coming in strong with the storm surge at 7pm, peak was after 8pm!

We saw the Swan  break it's banks at Mossmanbay, with the water just starting to flow onto the road! All the boat sheds where knee deep by then and most old style jetties under water.
