hillarys 3 mile ..pinky pics.

hey guys thought id give a thumbs up to anybody looking at having a fish on the 3mile.
We headed out yesterday about 1pm in the arvo to our little spot 10 min from the boat ramp, anchored and burleyed hard in about 13m of water.

The result 10 small bronzies,3 big rays,a 55cm pinkie,a 70cm pinkie, and my pb 87cm pinkie, the sharks were takin on full baby squid un weighted and the pinkies off the bottom ,,awesome arvo i reckon.

Just proves you dont always need to cruise far to catch decent fish (as we usually do Wink.good luck for the long weekend .

of water mate perfect for a tinny, literally 20m behind the reef if you got a good wind and tide your burley drifts straight into the reef we have caught sambos there but only ever early mornings for some reason and they have only stayed around for about 20min then nothing for rest of day ???...

When you say behind the reef

Mon, 2010-04-05 09:50

When you say behind the reef do you mean behind the reef as in between the reef and shore or behind the reef as is between the reef and South Africa??

it's one that always gets me if people mean behind the reef as from shore or behind the reef from the sea.

Sensational fish, and so close to shore... I reckon you've given at least a few people on here something to think about, I did the inshore thing for about 3 years and never mastered it, now it's deep every time and it normally pays dividends. You have definitely got the inshore thing sussed!!!
