we hit a good lump out south of rotto the other day....
we could not catch anything else but dhuies! ended up giving the bait a miss and dropping soft placcies down for a bit of fun! had to leave them biting, and ended up releasing about 8 dhues with a couple i the esky too. matty also dropped a donkey of a dhu, looks like it cut him off on its gill rakers.
we then headed in towards GI to snare a couple of crays for dinner. back at the ramp by lunch.
here's matty with a slightly smaller than average size for the day, caught on a mcarthy sp.

not sure BJ,
it was matty's, but probably around 6 - 7 oz, and lumo. that plastic/jighead was definately the flavour of the day.

nice dhuie session. I've rigged up that same jig head and tail for up here chasing goldband but haven't really had the chance to drop it down yet. Hopefully it works as well on them.

Fast beginning to believe
That they school up at this time of the year as had similar success in areas you would never pick held fish.
