Catch up with Dianne at Genies in Myaree if you need a exhaust built. They are the best at it for mine.

Cheers

302 Ford

Mon, 2009-08-24 18:17

Mate dropped a 302 Ford into his cruiser years back and had heaps of priblems with keeping it cool when offroad, bigger radiator + oil cooler had little effect.Pulled 302 out and dropped 351 in.problem solved, engine not working a hard, reduced fuel consumption, heaps more grunt and no over heating worries.
Same thing goes for those who pulled the original Landrover motors out and replaced them with Holden 186/202s except they lose out on offroad preformance due to loss of low down torque

the 253 with the right cam is a stump puller and can be very economical and very reliable .
Good choice of donk I reckon for a petrol. Easy to keep cool .

253 V8 into landcruiser ute

Sun, 2009-08-30 18:05

took the old landcruiser for a first drive today - very happy with the performance of the holden 253 - stays cool with a thermo fan and heaps of down low torque - can recomend this conversion to anyone.
