I've played metro footy and country footy (Mortlock) and there's three very basic rules in footy. You don't kick someone, you don't round arm someone to the head (guts is fair game) and you don't eye gouge. Anything else is on the cards as long as you are prepared to cop the square up.
Berry deserves at least 3 weeks imo.

I followed my brother up and played for Gin Gin in 2001 mate. Tore the meniscus in my knee pre-season of 2002 (Gin Gin won the flag that year!) and got shit advise from a surgeon to avoid surgery and give up footy. Ended up needing surgery 8 years later and returned to footy to do the meniscus in my other knee in my 3rd season back and then my ACL the following year.
The season I was up there Nicky Winmar was playing for Wongan-Ballidu and the great Lyndon Bird was doing Lyndon Bird things, he was an absolute freak. Where were you at? It was a good, tough league (most of the metro boys likened it to B grade ammos) with no shortage of barrel chested farmboys ready to wipe you out... peripheral vision was a must.

I played a couple years for Wongan Hills in the early 90s. My first league season in 93,
we were coached by the great Cam Lewis. Wongan and Ballidu amalgamated in about 96 I think it was.
I was 16 when I played my first league game there against Dalwallinu
Cam Lewis, coached in 92 and 93, played for Claremont and is the older brother of WCE player Chris Lewis.
When ever the Eagles played in Perth on Friday nights or on a Saturday, Chris would always come to our games on the Sunday. Our other import was David Palm who played for West Perth and Richmond.
We lost the 92 grand final to Goomalling and Lyndon Bird was playing then.
Goomalling had former Eagle and Collingwood player John Annear as well as Danny Mosconi

AFL has become a bullshit
AFL has become a bullshit farce competition
supposed to be a national comp
the melbourne sides have an advantage, 1/2 away game s played on home field , some dont even travel 1/2 as much as other teams
all teams dont even play each other 2x anymore, so its a potluck if u play decent or shit teams
tennis with kyrgios is much more fun to watch, at least u know some shit is gonna go down, wether in game or after ;p
real men watch/play rugby union but they starve us from watching it, instead they show us the AFWL
