How Close is too Close
Went down to Asi Groyne this morning... got there about 630am.. parked car at start and walked out 3/4 of way out there.. about 30 mins later a BMW with to older italians rock up.. slowly climb over the rocks RIGHT NEXT TO ME... now come on.. there is a whole rock groyne with NO one else around and they want to hold my hand?... i didnt say anything until the fella moved behind me and then climbed up on the other side of me and was thinking of fishing there... thats when i told him my version of how things were going to go.. RUDE,... maybe its just me. growing up fishing down south where you can spend the whole day fishing and not see a person... Him on one side his wife on the other and 1km of rock groyne with no one else on...
Same goes for surfing you dont drop in on someone else's wave.. grrrr

my uncles techniqe is to strip naked and stand next to them then pretend to drop somthin and bend right over to pick it up in front of them exposing his hairy crack and he never forgets a face - or feels shame
record a cd that repeats the words "I HATE YOU" and when it happens again pplay the cd in a portable stereo wen they stop and setup and turn it right up

If everyone does that, all these idiots will eventually start becoming more considerate. Same thing with seeing our 'northern neighbors' taking undersize fish - if everyone gives them a hard time, it will reduce. I liked the idea one guy had on this forum of kicking buckets into the water ;-)

Same thing happened to me at S Bend, except this bloke stood behind me at Flat Rocks and cast over the top. A few harsh words got exchanged but he seemed to think there was plenty of room. I gave him one warning and said if your line tangles with mine I'm going to cut it. So I stood there with my knife and the first time it tangled I cut his line. It didn't take long for him to move

I would be interested to know what the lady or gent said after they were spoken to.
The Busselton jetty was the same when i fished off it, 2 km of jetty and familys would set up beside you ,,i think because you have berley and bait in and you are catching fish its logical to set up beside you (logical for some)because thats where the fish are .

Thats where you need two rods.Cast over them,tangle it up big time,chuck it in a heap next to you the start fishing with the spare rod.When they finally get it untangled do the same thing all over again

that happened to my grandad once when he was fishing for blue groper. Berlyed 2 groper under the boat and then 2 minutes later a dive boat comes up parks up beside him and dived down under his boat and speared both of the groper got back in the boat and speeded of with my grandad swearing after them.
