We left from port gregory
We left from port gregory when we went and it is apparently a fair bit closer from there. Not sure of distance though.

thanks guys, from the sounds
thanks guys, from the sounds of it you would need to carry a fair bit of fuel. our boat has good economy , Denham to the end of dirk hartog isl and back after a days fishing and only used 120 ltrs travelled around 80nm. so it would be do able carrying around 200 extra ltrs to be safe

Hummock
If I remember right, the 1st little island is the " Hummock" and that was 28nm from the Breakwater in Geraldton.
So great fishing to be had and the diving will blow you away. Water is that clear.....
Would be a great trip...

Long necks in those days
LOL. No such thing as stubbies. The trip from Geraldton to Dongara to chase the girls was always a 2 long-neck trip LOL. On the way back it was quite often necessary to drop into the Walkaway Pub for a top-up. Those were the days...... LOL

Something like that...
Emu Bitter long necks. Back in the days when Emu Bitter actually tasted like beer (mother's milk). I think they were brewed at Hannans in those days. That's one thing Alan Bond really screwed up when he bought the Swan Brewery.

Seem to recall - to Pigeon
It was 52 NM including the run in after passing through the channel
There are a lot closer with the southern group around 28-29 mile from memory - we used to stay at "the hole" which at night holds some speccy tailor - don't swim there though as it used to have a large resident tiger which showed up on dusk
Longer but much prefer the northern group and if you leave from Gregory it is only 26-27 miles - a walk in the park.
