F@#kin WEED! Lures lasted 10
F@#kin WEED! Lures lasted 10 seconds out from mindarie. Found school of slimies, cracked my micro jigging virginity on them, balloonin them yeilded f@#kin NW blowies, big 5kg models. Pulled skirts north then out to 30s, nuthin, no birds workin. Pulled up on a spot in 34m, first drtop 40cm tailor off the bottom on a 10inch placcy wtf, second drift dropped a good fish, 3rd drop boated a 5kg dhu, that ended the bb sesh (was solo) so went in, 30kn, bloody nice conditions, forgot me thongs, like runnin on hot coals to the top of the carpark!

Theyre even up on the reefs in 1m of water where id usually be casting for tailor there are 5kg+ stripeys going bazerk on bait! I was chasing them around on the ski this morning but even too quick for me haha

Haaaard work
Went a touch northand beach launched the dinghy again. Awesome weather, but the fishing was hard work. Bugger all drift and Could see good fish on the sounder, but getting them to bite was frustratingly hard. Dropped a suspected big pinky early, but me mate wazza thankfully boated 2 6kg dhus and a red snapper. I did boat a couple of sambos so all wasn't lost.
Came in early so we could retrieve in good conditions and avoid last weekends dramas

Hey Scotto was that you that
Hey Scotto was that you that launched in front of the park?
We had a cracking day yesterday but it took a while. I lot of driving around and same as Scotto said lots of good showing on the sounder but getting them to bite was another story. It wasn't till the seabreeze came in and I boated 4 good fish in about half an hour 1 5kg Dhuie, 2 Baldies and a nice shark about a metre long. As it was our annual comp I ended up taking out the heaviest mixed bag. We ended up with another baldie after that from the deckie and had 4 good size crays in the pots so pretty happy. BTW there were 4 of us on board with licences

Yeah mate
We launched near the park ramp. We buzzed a couple of boats on the way back in on the 3 mile, thought that was you? Tried callin you on 77, but that was before 8am.
Knew we shoulda stayed out a bit longer, but was concerned about retrieval. We had a decent bag anyway, and water was a bit dirty for a dive, so thought beers and a burger where a better idea!

Ha ha yeah beers were definitely on my mind at 2pm. We took a run out to the bank which was a waste of time but a nice ride. Got all the fish in the mid 30's

Sunday
Not a great day, saw plenty of fish life on the furuno 1150 but nothing would bite, tried fresh bait soft plastics but no joy ended up getting a feed of sand whiting off Hillaries. Vinesh where was the water clear A DAY AFTER THE BIG SWELL AND A SWELL OF 1.5 RISING TO 2 METERS ON SUNDAY AFTER LUNCH, I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE DIRTY.

Timo we were out of mindarie
Timo we were out of mindarie too, about 4 mile from the ramp on our way in was a big bust up, plenty of slashing either big tuna or mackies. The wind had come in by then so a bit hard to follow.
we had a long day, first drop was a big baldie and a big BB then struggled from then. Plenty of small dhus and pinkies and bloody NW blowies.
Ended with 1 dhu, 1 baldie, 1 BB

Lady Joyce
Took a run out to the Lady Joyce wreck on Friday, 2000 thousand baby pinkies, sand snapper and blacks released also two barracuda. A big tiger and a huge cod released themselves.
Had manta rays, an old crested tern on its last legs sit on the boat and get hand fed mullet strips for an hour, dugongs and heaps of turtles pay a visit.
A quiet day for keepers, 2 pinkies kept out of the four that went size
