How's the fishing out of Mandurah lately?

So I might have access to my uncles boat next week fishing out of Mandurah. He doesnt really have much luck so I really need to impress by bringing back some fish haha. Just wondering how its fishing out on the bank for pinkies and dhus and just out to the mid 30s. Up here I usually anchor and burley on the back of the bank at sunrise for snapper, should I try the same down there? I noticed ffb out of the cut is only a few mile and its put me off a bit being so close to shore, is it worth heading down to the bouvard reefs or even NW out of the cut where the bank is a but further out?
I havent commited to anything yet, it really depends on what advice I get from here.
Thanks guys

Mandurah

Mate & I got our 2 Dhuies by 8.30 this morning. I havent done much fishing for snapper but many fishers do well with anchor & burley at the back of FFB. At sunrise as you said. Dhues can be hard to find around Mandurah & it takes some time to get your spots. Bouvard reefs are productive but its a fair journey down there from Dawesville. If you know the ropes with snapper fishing I would go that option if i were in your place.

Cheers C.P. I'm pretty confident with our strategy for snapper up Rockingham way I'd imagine it wouldnt be too different down the other end of the bank. Can I ask how deep you found your dhuies today? I took my boat out from the cut over a year ago and like you said we really struggled to find ground around the 30m contour

Yeah as i said its tough to find good ground for Dhuies around Mandurah. Lots of drifts over lots of trips did the trick for me. Even now theres no obvious change in bottom stucture showing on the sounder at my spots. Its just relatively hard but flat ground. I'll message you with our depth today.

LOL - Yeah I was today Mate. One freezer full of crays & now one full of Dhufish. Been a while since the last decent fish though.
