Not sure if I believe this guy? Calling knot gurus

http://youtu.be/oZIJpR7ttdA Hope that comes up as a link, if not, YouTube how NOT to join braid to leader. Came across this video while just browsing, he seems to discredit the back to back uni, I have tied it this way many a times, it's great for out in the boat or if the bite is on. It's a double uni from what I can see and it has always worked for me. Just curious on what others think?

He only uses 6 wraps in

He only uses 6 wraps in light single braid. I used to use the back-to-back and double the braid over and use 10-12 wraps. I never had any problem with slippage. These days I use an FG knot, but there's nothing wrong with the b2b uni.

 I agree, but have seen

I agree, but have seen others on the tutorials say five and five, I always give my self 8-9 For the braid n mono depends on poundage,

just thought it was quite amusing, first time I've ever heard a bad thing bout the knot really, except for the noise through the guides when casting

Yeah he needs to tie a knot

Yeah he needs to tie a knot properly before bagging it, I've never had a problem with double uni except for banging the guide which is why I now go FG and Improved Albright for my 2lb leader

 When I first started using

When I first started using braid (about 9 years ago) that's the knot I was taught by the guys in the tackle shop to use and they recommended 5 wraps (which I used for years and have never had a problem - touch wood).  I generally use the PR knot now, but still go back to using the old faithful if I need to replace a leader when I'm out fishing, because I don't take the PR bobbin with me.
