Ian’s winches

I noticed today someone selling winches that look like Ian’s . Which are a John Collins design . Who unfortunately passed away few years ago . He use to own 2 rocks engineering. Ian’s mates dad . I actually still run one off his originals . I did notice he has safety latch to stop jumping out of gear . ( that’s solved since them days) also charging $750 dollars more . Also Ian said big thanks to Adam for letting me put a for sale ad up for him,Also Ian says thanks for all members who bought one . Ian unreal guy who always backs up his work . Good old days l. Any issues he fixes .

Couldn't agree

Couldn't agree more LJ

I have one of Ian's winches on my boat trailer and am completely satisfied with it,

Best thing I did was get this winch which Ian fitted over 12 months ago now, and still gets in contact to make sure everything is okay,

You won't get better service than that and if you are in the market for a winch, give Ian a call, you will not be disappointed.

Mate here has just picked up

Fri, 2020-02-14 06:25

Mate here has just picked up his winch from Ian and can't speak highly enough about the whole process. We will fit it next week and watch the smile on his face as his boat gets ripped on the trailer.

As the others said can’t

As the others said can’t fault the winch or the service. Had a winch for about 6 months and super happy. Had a random call from Ian the other week just to check up and see if everything was ok. Good old fashioned service.

Fitted it up today, took longer to drive to bunnings for a bolt than it did to fit the winch, very impressed with the quality of the product....Just got to piss the wind off now to test it out.

You will love it

They crank boats up with easy . Good when you beach launch also. You don’t have to sit long in sand in and out . Less chance in sinking.

Just put the mates boat back

Wed, 2020-03-18 12:32

Just put the mates boat back on the trailer and you won't wipe the smile off his face for a fair while. On in 10 seconds boat practically dry when starting.

Very impressed.

Little johnny, Ian has been phoning my mate regularly to see how it's going. Great customer service that is rare nowadays. I reckon he will pick up more business up here now the mate can get the boat on the water and people see the winch in action.

Are the winches reversible

Wed, 2020-03-18 15:47

To control the rate the boat comes off the trailer during launch ?
