Im back, after a Prostate health scare
Submitted by crasny1 on Mon, 2018-01-08 07:40
Been missing for a while, recovering after a "what men don't want" operation.
All went well so far but boys, but get that PSA test when you are over 40 and any rise get a specialist to review.
Early detection is the key and then you CAN get cured, not just treated.
Looking forward to a BETTER 2018.
Neels

I'm going through a medical drama at the moment as well mate , thought my number was up at the start of November. Perforated gall bladder that was wrongly diagnosed as a heart attack, have had drain in for last 2 and a half months watching all the guys on here post there catches has been the worst lol. Have an op on Thursday to get everything taken out , so up and onwards from there. As others have said get yourself checked out , i missed the early signs and have paid the price and am lucky to be alive. Has changed my whole outlook on life eh treasure your health while you have it and look after yourselves.

Shane i would get that
Shane i would get that checked cob , sounds pretty similar to my early symptoms that i ignored. Eventually a gall stone will block the pipe that leaves your bladder and then your in all kinds of hurt. An ulta sound should pick it up but there are other scans that will tell for sure don't fuck around mate if get it sorted early its a simple procedure if you do. p.s You might also get some pain in your back.

Good to hear you are up & about, health scares can take it out of ya.
We all know your tuff & would expect you to be putting the fear of god into them whiting soon.
Will you be heading up to Denham this year, you know how good them sunsets are when your sitting on the beach, rod in the holder & wine at the ready.
Again, glad to hear your ok.

Yes mate
Had 7 weeks off for the op. Lucky had some income protect to cover some costs.
But definitely plan something to Shark Bay as a "true" holiday sometime in the future. There is nothing like sitting on a remote beach, tinnie in hand catching thumper YF whiting, then heading home for a feed of the best fish to eat IMO. Might not even tow the boat up next one, just shore based.
By the way how is Rose and your mate travelling??

Well.
Both doing well. He has settled down & living life the best he can, just a little off balance & a few memory issues but all well.
We are heading up to Denham for the April holidays, would be great to catch up with ya there. Maybe that long awaited beer together & a spot of fishing as we will be taking the tub.
Cheers & Stay safe

Not good uncle, but good to see your back up and about. Strokes always bother me particularly if I’m at work. Nobody around to assist if I’m back in my room. Nobody would come looking for me until the next morning when I wouldn’t turn up for work.

Woke up at midnight Dale
Searing pain left side of head, thought it would go away, after awhile got up and took 2 codis, lots of asprin, wife checked me for a stroke and i seemed ok, sometime later pain went and numbness set in on the left side of face, couldn't walk straight, time for the ambos.had to learn to walk again! I've had 2 life threatening episodes and they say eating well, exercising is what saved me both times.

We males are too pig headed
We males are too pig headed and soldier on if we can get by. I'm going for an MRI tomorrow to find out the cause of the pinched nerve in my neck after a month of ignoring it and training hard on the bag/pads with a weaker left arm. Want to cross off anything that may worsen into permanent damage.
