No real advantages of rollers

No real advantages of rollers with braid, just potential for the line to get off the rooler and get pinged, and more maintenance with rollers v's guides.

get rid of the roller if its just the tip. if your fishing deep your better off with braid as there is less drag on the line and you will feel the bites better. if your only fishing shallow you can use mono and keep the roller tip . asa Till said the braid can get stuck between the roller and its housing

sounds like it could be a dedicated game rod that would run mono. my suggestion would be to get youself a reasonable rod for bottom bashing or trolling from one of the site sponsors as they will look after you and match the rod to the reel and type of fishing you will be doing

Rod would also be too heavy

Rod would also be too heavy to hold all day bottom bashing.
