DWELLINGUP
dude dwelling up is a great spot for the trout and perch. the perch there semm to have out populated them selves so there for a bit stunted in the growth department but by all means plentifull. as for the trout mainly rainbows of a decent nature but be carefull of the runnoffs and streams as im pretty sure they are closed season atm . the upper murray can still hold awesum fish this time of year holding at the bottom of all the rapids . your best bet would be to try the crossings (toms seems to have been the most productive for me) with natural colours such as brown trout and rainbow trout and flies in the wolly bugga pattern. be keen to know how you go though.

Yes, Spess!!
I went couple months back and I approached the Fisheries Office in Pemberton and they said you still can't return the Redfin Perch back. Well, they do eat the marron and I think thats why they said no to return them, Ohh well they taste superb on the plate. I really think they taste like King George Whiting!
All the best for the future fishing trips!

They are good on the tooth
They are good on the tooth considering the look of them. Might have to get the old spinnerbaits out and head down for something different one day. I used to enjoy catching them when i was younger.

The same rig as you would for Bream!
Try using the crawdad lures or small RMG Scorpians! Anything that looks like Yabbies or Marron and in the same colours as Marrons.

I used to use the bream gear
I used to use the bream gear basically which is fun on the bigger ones. Or smallist baitcasters are also great for the heavier typr lures. 4 to 10lb braid, 10lb fluro leader to ya spinnerbait. Sp's and halco scorps also work well. I find they love the bright colour lures best, yellows and pinks. But usally they are a schooling fish and when u find one you will get more garanteed. they are pretty aggresive at times and will generally nail anything you throw at them. just remember the flasher the better and dont be affraid to crank it back past any structure or lilly pads they will nail it they are around. Top feed too but watch there spikes as there bluddy sharp. Summer and winter are both good times to get into them ......like i said i might have to give them another crack soon as its bluddy good fun in a kayak or from shore.

I fish the Warren River!
Yeah it is fun catching Reddies, the scenery makes it all worthwhile while casting around the snags from the Kayak. Absolute ball when you get a school of them going! Yeah Spess I can't wait till I get a feed of Redfin Perch.
All the best for the future fishing trips!
