I used Sydney small boat

Thu, 2016-01-14 13:17

I used Sydney small boat transport 12 months ago to move a camper trailer over. Great service and on time with no damage (Cairns to Perth). Not sure on price as work covered the move.

I have had joy in the past with using the online system where businesses bid for the job (Moved a 1950 Plymouth Perth to Brisbane for a great price).

Cheers,

Hurricane Transport

Fri, 2016-01-15 20:50

I just brought my boat from Devonport to Perth via Melbourne. Hurricane Transport did the Melbourne to Perth leg - $3k. They will pick up from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Absolutely awesome service. I got a call every night to tell me where it was and how it was travelling. Top notch condition and brilliant guys. Highly recommendly and I did plenty of research before. Was a 6.7m ali.

Their number: 0488 701 789

coastal service

Wed, 2016-01-20 08:54

Whaler, have you thought about using the coastal service?
From Brisbane to Perth you could get a 40ft container dropped and loaded and delivered to door for roughly $2,000 give or take.
Load the container yourself and strap down as you like.

if you want more information please let me know.

i have clients that have had that experience and found the vessel in poor condition when it was deliverd and the extra charges was a drop your mouth efect and it was a bar crusher you can imagine how the client was from grey to pure white and it cost him more too fix the vessel but at the end of the day it is up to you whaler and good luck

happens with all freight

Wed, 2016-01-20 10:04

happens with all freight companies sadly, it is a risk and insurance is an option for a small fee. albeit if you have control of strapping your own goods thus will minimize damages.

I ship millions of dollars of freight in and out of Aus yearly both via air and sea and freight damages are uncontrollable at times.

good luck whaler.

Wed, 2016-01-20 14:23

I Just had the same dramas mate, I got my 610 Barcrusher transported from Melbourne to perth by Mcphee Freight (google them). She come on a car carrier (RORO ship) in epic condition and wasn't on a truck or wasn't getting towed. you pay by the square metre, cost me $3k,  i know they do brisbane as well.

Problems

Thu, 2016-01-21 00:54

G'day - I still haven't got the boat in the water yet. Took forever to get the trailer over the pits with being time poor, and a few issues,  then I travelled overseas and now flat out at work. Hopefully before Easter I'll go for a run in it.

Thanks for the great service and safe driving and good health.
