The Invitational and Jigathon
Submitted by Adam Gallash on Mon, 2007-01-22 19:05
Just found some old footage I didn't know I had whilst editing up the motorvation video from the weekend. It features Dennis's partner Julie showing us how it was done in rough conditions. The second part of the video is some jigging footage of Tapout getting busted up, Maverick out on Shikari and Honsu/Rob C/Deefa out on Nebraska with a 5 way hookup as I started the video. I couldn't find any good music for the clip, so have left it original, hope you enjoy.

Nice Dhuie, showing the boys
Nice Dhuie, showing the boys how its done and some pretty good action shots of the boys in their element. Is that you Mav on the bow?
I'm struggling to cut together the footage from the invitational as half was on Rory's camera (Quicktime) and the other half on mine (WMV)Does anyone have a program that will covert Quicktime movies to Mpegs without having a massive free trial watermark on the image?
Cheers

what format is quicktime?
Like, what file extension is it??
Ive used a good free one called Virtual Dub, doesnt leave a water mark (in fact you can add your own!!), is good for quick editing, adding effects, changing contrast/brightness, colours, resizing, compressing, heaps of good stuff for free...as far as I know you cant splice clips together to make a movie with it, but it is good for manipulating the clips, or the whole movie, if you need to...

.Mov
Quicktime is .MOV format, whilst windows movie maker is .WMV. Have you tried importing the .MOV file into windows movie maker? I assume yes, but might be worth a shot if you haven't.
I have adobe premiere 6.0 but its near on impossible to get the hang of without spending a lot of time trying to figure out all the gidgets and gadjets.
Also, Sherbert has mentioned that when you download this video is loads a porn movie.... Has anyone else had this problem? I just downloaded it then and it was fine on mine, just wanted to check if others were encountering the problem??
Cheers,
Adam

Download
I downloaded it last night without any problems Adam.
Maybe it has something to do with those "Special" sites sherbert is visiting.

I spent hours finding a free program to convert .MOV files to another format. A mates camera uses .MOV files and it's a pain because they're not compatable with Movie Maker.
Try this.

This one is free and doesn't leave a watermark (well it didn't when I downloaded it a couple of months ago)...
Output is AVI which is compatable with Movie Maker.

Works a treat
Thanks Jay, that was painless, quick and easy to use.
Now hopefully I won't have a million spyware files on my computer.
