Isuzu FSS 550 now FSS110! Anyone used them

Has anyone/is anyone using the Isuzu FSS 550 now 110 for towing 3.5 + tonne boats. Just wondering how it performs. I want to know if it's going to drop back to 70km/h going up hills or anything crazy like that! Spoken to a few dealers and they say they are good trucks and a lot of people use them for towing larger boats! But can't trust all dealers!

I use to tow my boat with an fts750 and that was great, 100kays an hour up hills.  I would assume the 550 would go alright as well. The other thing which you would know is that the fuel consumption would be pretty good for long distances. Wreckless on wafisherman had one which is for sale and he was towing a 9.0 mtr leisure cat. If you're a member send him a pm he might be able to help you.

Ross auction and smith and broughtons have had a few go through them lately. Ross auctions had recently had the western power ones in there and I am pretty sure there was a short wheel base one there.

just having a look now and there is a single cab short wheel base FTS750 and a couple others that might suit. I've got an old FTS750 naturally aspriated one that i use for work as it has a hiab and tilt tray on it and it goes alright around town but really lacks power when towing the boat going up hills. i also use to have the FTS750 dual cab with the turbo and that didnt even know the boat was behind it. i am also keeoing a eye out for a FTS 550 dual cab which i can use for work and towing and at the right price.
