It looked like six down by
It looked like six down by Mangles Bay.
One washed hard up against Val Street Jetty.
And this tender near Palm Beach Jetty, that I helped the guy that owned it get his outboard motor off, battery, oars, before some low life helped themselved to them.
He said that he recorded 115km wind last night on his boat in Mangles Bay,and he didn't get much sleep because is 20t boat started moving on it's mooring.

that's heavy!
that's heavy!
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

thats what your insurance
thats what your insurance premiums are paying for.
Looking at Rottnest Observations it got to 40-55 knots last night, pretty strong but not unusual by a long shot.
Authorities probably need to start looking closer at who is inspecting these moorings, how pissed off would you be if you did the right thing with your flash boat and it got cleaned up by someone elses who didnt?

By the look of a few of those
By the look of a few of those boats theyd be unlikely to be insured.
uninsured=take your chances. Even if your in the right against an insured boat you'll have a fight on ya hands sadly.
always keep mine covered.

looking at that photo Marc I
looking at that photo Marc I see that
1/ theres no mooring rope hanging so either the rope has chafed at the bits or samson post has gone
2/ that tiny little fairlead isnt what Id leave it swinging thru long term
3/ the hull bottom seems to look "unloved"
4/ behind it is a large cat that looks very "loved"
itd be sad if those two met in the storm!

marc 1,s pic and mokings pic
the Sampson post was snapped of the vessel in Marcs pic , mokings first pic the yellow yacht if you look on the port side there is a blue notice attached that said the vessel was an unsafe platform and boarding it could incur a 500 dollar fine (looked like it had been placed on it before the blow)

the big cat that is moored up about a mile or two up from the bent st ramp didn't move but with a thing like that I am betting he has a very good mooring
