Not to sure

about jet ski's.  People been taken whilst being towed behind either a jet ski or small dingy. One off SA last year from memory. Fast moving water craft and noisey not likely to attract sharks.

But if ya fishing no different if ya were on a boat

Safe as houses

Wed, 2012-07-25 08:40

I'm new to jetskis, but I feel safe as houses on my new FX HO, particularly compared to the kayak I fished from previously.

The new models are as good as 12 foot long, it's a jet powered boat, way more stable, manoverable & powerful than a 12 foot dingy!

Encountering a shark on the kayak was always a worry, but at least on the jetski I can get away quick and it has a lot of weight to it.

 Lets say for arguaments

Lets say for arguaments sake, a white decided to have bite of the ski, what damage would it do? Would it prevent the ski from motoring away? Often whites will circle and scope out anything intersting floating in the water, so if your attentive in most case theres ample warning depending on the depth / clarity of the water your fishing in. Im considering buying a ski next year when time is more available and to be honest I'm more concerned about other non fishing people on skis buzzing around.
