a days catch
Hey Johan
How did you end up going? We headed towards freo and pulled up on a few patches of sand and both got 8 KGW, smallest was about 32cm, biggest was about 36cm.... At least we have dinner tonight. Thats a photo of my catch, pretty happy seeing as we were after a few king george.

Well done John, nice whiting
Well done John, nice whiting you've got there. Do they have a lot of fine bones?
I drifted the channel, went squidding at Carnac Island but no luck. Heaps of fish on the sounder in the channel (See pic's below) but they did not bite. Pretty disapointing, when I saw the fish come op on the sounder I thought today is the day I get my big snapper but no luck. There were times that my screen just clogged up with fish, but they disapear as fast as they appear. By the time I got the cam it was too late. I only got the two squid for the day.

king george
I dont find too many bones in the KGW, I tend to fillet them and then feel for the bones and pull them put. Then into flour, egg and breadcrumbs and shallow fry... Ended up with 16 nice fillets, me and the missus ate a few and the rest can be for lunch tomorrow. Let me know when you want to do the 3 mile reef trip, looking forward to it.

kayak fishos
I saw a few kayaks over near south beach but didnt see anyone fishing... There were a couple of kayaks near the old power station also but I was too far out to see if they were fishing.
