Jigged dhu
After a poor effort on my behalf in Kalbarri, I needed redemption and yesterday's forecast looked promising. Got on the water at 5 to try get some pinks on the anchor but I was too late as my mate had already bagged out and the bite was shut down. With the sw blowing a little I tried a few of my kayak lumps with no success and with the wind dropping slightly I headed out. After an hour of sounding and drifting I came across some good ground and after a bit of drifting the sounder confirmed. I re-set the drift and dropped a 5in daiwa bait junky jerk shad on a 1oz jig head and was rewarded with a good baldie. As I was sorting it out the sounder showed some good showings, so with the baldie in the bag down went the 80g jig and 2nd lift resulted in a 80cm dhu and back to the ramp.

Just no crays for me, never got time to get my shit together this season. Only thing better than a dhu bald bag imo, is two baldie bag. Did you happen to see any birds/tuna yesterday? I was searching for a while but didn't see anything.

Funny you say that , we saw two bust ups about 300-400m from the boat. I've never really been interested in chasing the Tuna. But happy with any Yellowfin that comes on board up north , bloody delicious.
