JM ocean god 280

Has anyone used one of these? I just bought a sabre game and am really happy with it. I have a saltist40 that i plan on running 40/50lb on and was thinking this looks like a nice match for it. Any other rods in the $200/$300 price range that i should consider?

G'Day JD, the JM Ocean God 280 is a nice rod but have a look at the Jigstar 250 as it has a sweet action for 40/50lb and similar price.

yeah i got a  JM sabre game

yeah i got a  JM sabre game spin a few weeks back and was really impressed with it, running 15lb on it should have went 20lb... got smoked a few times already, the jigwrexs look good and are a bit cheaper but still leaning towards the JM ocean god since they seem to have the same bend as the sabre.

15lb is definitely

15lb is definitely undergunned on a sabregame.

You can dead lift 10kg with the rod (so the advertising tells me).

I think you can run 10kg of drag through this pretty easy (based on mine running 7kg plus some heavy thumbing of spool generally)

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

yeah mate im well aware of this now, need to get my head around pe/lb conversions... hindsight should have used 20lb. just going to run the braid hard and lose a few jigs for now, maybe i'll get lucky and land something worth bragging about.
