Jumbo legs

So finally we got motivated enough to take our amateur pots out to some lumps in 15/16 fathoms and got our selves a few jumbos.. I've got plenty of idea and recipes to try with tail meat but can anyone give me any hints on best ways to cook the legs??

Cant wait to give em a try... Cheers Belly

Just break them off the cray once you have drowned or chilled it then drop them in a pot of boiling , very salty water. Leave them in for about 5 minutes then drop the legs in to very cold fresh water to stop them from cooking any further.

Crack them just above a joint and the meat should just slide right out, dip in to vinegar or lemon juice and down the hatch.

Sorry not sure of times for cooking ..but steaming is a far better way to cook your crays, yabbies, crabs and marron. The time is reduced as the ammount of water you need is less and it boils again much quicker. You havent got the water washing out a lot of taste.

cooking is just as  Carnarvonite has said , as far as eating you cant beat the natural sweet taste of the legs as they are.
