Just wondering whether the trend continued. Every year I was up there it blew its arse off during this (and the FeNaClLNG).
What was it like, and also how did everyone go?

Not many fish around was the
Not many fish around was the quietest since febuary. winning boat tagged 4 sails day 1 and that was enough. weather kept up its repretation, best part of 30kts in the mornings and glass off in the evenings after lines out.

Lads fishing on board boat
Lads fishing on board boat "tidal surge" took it out, dont know them myself. Last few years have had 3-4 fish being eneough to win but in the past they have nailed some hot fishing, seems hit and miss this time of the year with fish and weather. march april this year was red hot with the sails and had a few days over 10 tags. the next fenacle comp is more reliable for good fishing and good numbers of blacks.

you and the boy's are mad
you and the boy's are mad being out there in your tub Rob, i'm sure Bowdy will enjoy his new toy but which makes up for that shit weather, so much for perfect weather Monday.....
We only saw 2 sails for the whole weekend and managed to hook only 1 and convert him which was enough to make me smile for a little while. i don't think i'll repeat the Billfish shootout, as Rob said, even if the weather is good the fish are very quiet every year, it'd be better being a Anzac day comp when they where red hot. Looking forward to Fenaclng for sure if the weather is as good as last year!
Pete it was Andy Jankowski who won, has been fishing the Billfish Shootout for 10 years, you may know of him from your past employment up here.
