Pilbara Fishing Trip
Submitted by chesterfield on Mon, 2014-06-09 23:39
Guys, I'm driving up to Karratha with my cousin and a mate for a week at the end of June hoping to get stuck into some fishing. We will be staying in a mates Caravan for most of the time and trying all the land based spots around Point Samson and Dampier, however we would like to get out on a boat if possible?
Anyone keen to take us out, know a good contact or know of a good charter in the area? No worries us paying for fuel and bait etc.
We are also stopping by Wagoe camping at lucky bay for a night or two on the way home? Can anyone advise of the fishing there recently, what species? Hoping for good weather, else won't stop!
Cheers for all responses!

Wind
Yeah looks pretty strong at the moment guys. Does it start to die down end of June, or has it just started ramping up?

It can't blow for ever! I'm
It can't blow for ever! I'm guessing it will settle into a routine soon. Probably 5 or 6 days of crap then 3 good days. It seems to cycle depending on the high / low pressure systems down south.

You might get lucky
Every year its the same but as paley said it gets itself into a routine ,best bet is to target creeks as there are plenty of salmon and jacks around.if you want landbased try 40 mile beach as the run past there
There are two types of people ,do'ers and watchers
Right now the do'ers are the doing it
And the watchers are watching us do it
