Went looking for salmon this morning,no luck-but heaps of herring around.
One of by favourite spots= paradise.

Not sure what's going on
Not sure what's going on with the tailor Beau,I tried ever lure in the box this morning.
Tried the reef breaks, inside and out wide -nothing.
Heaps of herring taking the lures, but not one tailor?
The squid were on the bite though, nice dinner for tonight.

All my usual spots weren't
All my usual spots weren't holding any fish at all so went exploring and found an absolute pearler spot, big tailor chasing and hitting poppers nearly every cast.

Dirty water? I always have
Dirty water? I always have the best success with tailor in crystal clear water (trolled poppers)
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

Yes you are spot on
Yes you are spot on there-the water is really stirred up,very murky behind Garden Island.
The seaweed is a problem as well in the jetpump of the ski-heaps of seagrass type of weed.

Looks like Point Peron -
Looks like Point Peron - Great spot, brings back some good memories.
Caught my first ever Salmon just of the beach where the reef drops off, was hundreds of them there that day patrolling up and down the reef, only got 1 hungry one that went like a rocket.
used an unweight mulie that day.
