Kalbarri Aussy Day Weekend
Well I just got back from Kalbarri for australia day weekend and what a weekend it was, firstly I have to thank Tangles for taking us out to one of his spots and showing us some good ground, also thanks to Tapout who came along aswell.... I have never seen such colour on my sounder!! We drove up Friday and went out 3.30am Saturday, a little windy in the morning but absolutley Killer after that....Less than 1-1.5mtr Sat,Sun,Mon,Tue and on Sunday less than 5Knot wind!!! Glass Off!! Saturday Morning we stopped along the coast and the boys checked their pots before we went onto our fishing spot. We got onto some snapper early with some excellent fights, me and my mate blair managed 2 over 50cm and one under who released well... I could see the other boys were having some good fights as well. We then moved to another spot where we anchored & burlyed up.... several more fish...heaps of Weiro? Cod (Never seen one before) A couple of wobby gong Sharks and a couple of nice baldies. Sharks and Cod all released. I left my rod briefly in the rod holder while I was cutting some mulies and It slapped the side of the hull bent over..tried to get it out but busted off...Should have set my drag better made this mistake twice during the trip! My mate blair then a 5-6kg Mulloway from the boat. At this stage we had plenty on board so we decided to head home and fillet up for lunch. Sunday we weren't going to go out but when I woke up at 7am I couldnt belive my eyes no wind or swell... Quick chat with the Mrs and we were on the water by 8am.. Some good fish again, 67cm Pinky 58cm Pinky and a fat 53cm Baldie..The wind swung around early so we decided to call It a day.... Next time I'll spend more than 5 days and If I get weather like that again I will be truly blessed!!! Sorry Pics are with Iphone left my camera at home...

Was in kalbarri too.
Went out in one of murchison boat hire boats on Saturday and Sunday. Managed to get my first dhuie on jig, we did really well on Saturday but too many sharks on Sunday. Apparently our pics of our trip is up on the murchison boat hire Facebook. I don't have Facebook so I haven't seen them. Look out for my mates cracker baldie if it's there. Bloody impressive!
