First time out in Kalbarri in the boat. found some great spots but its a long way and a lot of nothing out there. Sounder shot had Sambos, Pinkies, Reds and Cobia on it. Found lots of Dhuies to the north. Going through the river mouth was interesting
Released most of the fish.

You were obviously going a long way to get over 60 metres.
Well done, wall to wall F* all for a long way out there, as Tangles says. We used to mostly catch pinkies whern he was working for me, he asked me why don't we catch jewies? So I just went to a different type of ground and we caught jewies. He just looked at me as the first ones came over the side and I shrugged and said " I like catching Pinkies.."
I still have all my old crayfishing marks on C-plot on the old lappie.

Some nice fish.
good fish for not many about. 130hrs on the motor does bring it into prospective. I guess you know a lot more about the ground after that.

Reds, trout, dhu, rankin and pinkies - eating well there. Just missing a KGW and you have the top stars.

What a double header, a pinkie and a reddy, then a dhui and a cod. Strange bed fellows indeed. unquote The good ground out there is like that never quite know what will come up next. Not too hard if you have the marks, but finding all that ground is the work of a lifetime, believe me. I'll admit to being lazy nowadays, particularly now with our tiny bag limits--don't feel like going 25 miles to drop over, catch two double headers of pinkies, and steam home again, if you know what i mean. But, as I now have a boat which will be more comfortable doing the miles, might have to give it a go sometime.
Big strings of reds, Tangles? Seem to recall the memorable ones were 35 or 50 miles away, I ain't going that far The one on the bait ball out in 45 fathoms, where the top four fish were all big reds, and the ten under them were pinkies? Closer to Big Hill- or where we had a bustoff when we were pulling up lots of reds, then foul hooked the rig later and pulled up two strings at once? off the Wreck.-ahh, memories.
