G'day guys

I was at the meeting and to be honest the meeting in my opinion was merely window dressing. The is some serious shit going on in town at the moment and it is the cause for serious concern. Yes it is only a handful of people in town but they are stretching resources to the limit. Over the last couple of months we've had a caravan, motorcycle and vehicle burnt to the ground, followed by a house - not sure if this one is involved, then we had a car, rear shed and house set on fire and while we were attending that another car was set alight and allowed to roll across the road and by an act of god, turned sideways before it got into bushland next to the Edge resort. That same night a fish and chip shop was attempted to be set alight, tyres slashed and several other minor incidents. We are only volunteer firey's, and having to deal with this sort of crap - usually on a sat night half pissed - is going to end up with someone getting hurt. Hopefully something will come of the meeting though i truly doubt it. There is talk of action from within the town and to be honest I would be the first to put my hand up. My wife and I moved here so we could lead a safe life with our kids without the need for filling our kids life with fear.

Just got back from a weeks holiday in Kalbarri. Took the caravan and stayed at Tudor caravan park. Had no trouble and did not hear about any trouble. For me and the family it was as it has always been, a good place to sit back and relax.

Hmmm, one of the places my son wanted to go (tongue in cheek as there is little likelihood he'd actually get it) when he graduates from the police academy.  Reason - lowest crime rate in WA.
