Karratha / Dampier Fishing in July

Hey all , I am Heading up to Karratha/Dampier from Newman in mid-July 2012 .
Just wondering if anyone can fill me in on the Weather at that time of year (windy)?
I also have a 4.4 Ali runabout will this be big enough to get to some good fishing grounds ? (the islands)
Any advice would be muchly appereciated.

we'll have either easterly
we'll have either easterly of SSW winds or none at all. if the East wind is up launch from withnell bay and hug the coast and island hop around looking for good ground, if it's fine the whole place is very acessable mate

What is usually on the bit that time of year ? Probably busy being school holidays.
Mate its been 20yr since Game fishing , last time was in Papua New Guinea . Heaps of Spaniards ,Skipjacks, GTs , Sailies .
So very keen for this trip as you could imagine .

Pretty bad that time of year and probably not not much good any other time either, don't reckon you'd like it anyway bud, lotsa of new Aussies from around the world live, work and fish here too.
