karratha trip

I will heading down to karratha in july i was just wandering what the best species of fish to target is up there and if you can catch crabs or prawns up there and obviously any tips or reccomendations of what to do up there will be much appreciated cause i want to make this a very good trip.
i will also need to buy a new land based rod and reel does anyone no any good combos for up there not gonna spend huge amount, but will be gettin a descent one probz no more than $500

i dnt have a boat mate and im not super expereinced i would like to go for some barras or mangrove jacks or maybe some gts or queenies if u can get them shor based i also was wandering if anybody new some good charter boats for up there
