KGW Hooks Size

I had a look through the FAQ regarding the new rules and paternoster rigs and found the following:
“Can I use a maximum of three hooks when fishing for non-demersal species?
Yes, a maximum of three baits or lures per line is permitted when fishing for non-demersal species such as King George Whiting. If a demersal scalefish is caught using more than one bait or lure as by-catch, it is strongly recommended to change your rig to avoid catching more.”
From what I am reading we can still drop a paternoster rig down in our spots in the 30-40m depths. The question is, what size hooks are everyone using when chasing KGW out wide? Personally I prefer a 6/0 or a 7/0 max. Still small enough to hook up a KGW and big enough to avoid being plagued by wrasse…

I always used 3/0 or 4/0 .
I always used 3/0 or 4/0 . Small enough for kg and still manage to get decent size dhuies on the same hooks.
You can get big fish on small hooks but not so easy getting small fish on big hooks

Yup my approach to the letter
Like running two on a snood and loading with pieces if squid candles or small skinned occy tentacles.....now is a snood classed as one hook when used in that fashion I wonder

had that dsicussion with fisheries and they said if i used mullies on the same set up it would classed as one hook ( lure ) so i would think the it would apply to occy or squid baits as long as the bait is on the two hooks in one piece

I run a 2/O Hoodlum on the bottom dropper as they'll still hold a decent fish and small enough for the KG's.
