Prawn chasing time is getting close - there first rains will be here soon. Anyone else looking forward to dabbing for them? This will be the first year I have my own boat - so I'm pretty excited!

What can i expect??
used to get huge ones off the rotto jetty 20 years ago. a scoop net and a gas camp light always provided a decent feed. some as long as a dinner plate is wide( have the photo some where to prove it ). So my question is this .... has any one in recent years caught prawns that big in the river??? i hope its not " the good ol days" story.Would be really disappointed if i caught either nothing or shrimp from my little boat lol.
