Kununara Gorges

 Hey guys

heading up to a ranch filled with these gorges and creeks, dingies are accesable. I know its not barra season but im still going to take a flickie up there and see what i can find.Any one ever fished deep into these gorges. I think the ranch is fairly inland, so pretty freshwater.

What species could i encounter?

What tackle to take with me?lures? thats what i would rather fish with over bait....

I was thinking a 4kg spinning rod?

any info would be awsome

There called 'stations' in Oz mate.

West or East Kimberley? How far from the coast?

Possibly sooty grunter, spangled perch, archer fish, catfish, barra and maybe jacks.

4kg flickie should be fine.

Which station ?

Brett,

can you tell me which station and I'll tell you spots and lures. Very few Jacks inland but mainly Sooty Gruner or Black Bream as the locals call them and some Barra inland but depends on where you are going. Small lures and light line will mean you can catch a variety.
