heres a pic of a long tom we caught tonight at kwinana beach while lure fishing for tailor.
litttle bugger must be on school holidays from his nice warm home so we let him go to enjoy his holiday.

Was the same when I was in Headland...you could watch the buggers just go after anything you casted as soon as it hit the water when I was after threadies etc.

Nice Tom , they can get pretty big around there. Don't tell anyone,
but they are in the sound all year if you know were to find them .

I used to catch them when i was near broome they arn't bad to muck around with when nothing else is biting only problem the ones i caught kept chasing me when i released them lol and I always though they were a tropical fish and the waters down here would have been to cold but in saying that we get tiger sharks down here now so it would be interesting to see water temperature charts and compare them with years gone by.
