Land, rock, beach fishing as business ? Anyone doing it ?

Hey guys I come on this idea to start litlle business taking turists rock beach fishing, nobody is doing it in this area,Ive seen a lot of turists trying to get out there but

finding hard to get to the spots, as I lived here for about 7 years,I know the area very well as being fishermen myself, also its a very windy place so might pick up

more when boats can't get out there as people just wanna catch fish, also it will depends who to take to easy or more hairy spots (experiance, fitness etc)

I understand its risky deal, but people do it anyway so I'm thinkink having guide + gear provided and local knowledge might attract people and give them more

confidence! Any thoughts are helpfull, would love to know what you guys think !

Cheers

a bloke in denmark does it,

You would need to be insured to the eyeballs for something like that!!

Sounds good though. Make sure you do your homework before diving in!!

The insurance is no problem, the same as many other businesses.  You would require a license from fisheries to operate a fishing business or buy somone elseslicense.  There may be licenses out there that you can buy or fisheries may chose to /or not to issue you one.  The vehicle may need to have special requirements as well to carry paying passengers.   How many people would you take? What hours would you work? The best tide may be 5am or 10 pm. As you know the peak times due to winds and weather will be  a couple of hours a day, How much would people pay for that? The weather would play a huge  part.

Its not something you would make much $ out of but it could be done as a sideline. IMO.

see how it goes,a lot of people comes over here just for fishing but as I said its a windy place so boats operators can't go all the time, also it all depends on what

people want half a day full day, what they wanna do catch some kingies and tuna off the rocks throw popers all day, or try to catch bone fish on fly, or some silver

trevally or a drummer on light gear, thinking having family packages also something fun for kids... also special deals for really keen rockfishos coz there is a lot of good

places around here that tourists don't go but you need someone to take you there once you there thats it coz place is magic ! Also providing everything they need rods

reels bait popers hooks led all that ! Cheers for coming back to me guys , more info would be helpful . Sorry I can't say where I live maybe later :) Try guess its

good idea

There are loads of guided fishing tours operating.Sounds good. You can save a lot of time in a new place hooking up with a local when you have travelled a long way to go fishing.I would be up for it.You may have to supply gear sometimes good luck with it and use spell check. It comes across very poor when the spelling is wrong and you probably really know your fishing

good idea but how long will it lasts whats to stop people from doing a charter wih you finding your spots going back there by them selves to rape and pillage before you know it you are out of business or out of fish
