Landcruiser Ute Exhaust Options

G'Day chaps,

Looking at upgrading the exhaust on the dual cab. im pretty set on a 3 inch roo systems exhaust and getting an ecu remap but also had my eye on a 3 inch beaudesert system with remap.

Anyone got any experience with these exhausts or any other good suggestions?

a few of my mates are running

Tue, 2016-03-15 21:57

a few of my mates are running the mantas gilly, their happy with them and they sound pretty good. you happy with yours?

its a 79 series dual cab ute piggy. practically still a blank canvas. pretty keen on going down the whole lift and tyre road soon too but starting with the exhaust and remap because out of the box its a pretty sluggish machine.

cheers

One other thing. Might be worth holding of on tune till you've settled on tire size as changing sizes later on can have an effect on performance

Wed, 2016-03-16 06:29

I have the Beaudesert 3 inch with resonator in aluminised mild steel on my 76, not too loud but awesome note, have had it in since September last year and love it, plan on fitting the steinbouer chip in the future that Beaudesert also stock.

I had a guy pull up alongside me last week at a set of lights with his landcruiser that had all the go gear, huge pipe coming out in front of the rear wheels bellowing a huge noise. He wanted to try a drag against me so I just knodded in acknowledgement, put the ute into 2nd gear so it wouldn't break traction, lights went green and away we went. At first I went pretty easy, made him thinking he had the better of me, but once I hit 4th the game changed quickly and he just got smaller and smaller in my mirrors. Just goes to show, you can put lipstick on a pig, but....

It's not an off road car, it never goes off the bitumen.
